Background

Childhood

My mother earned a PhD in Archaeology and Anthropology, sparking my interest in human interactions across time through research and study during my youth. My father transitioned from Assistant District Attorney to criminal defense attorney. He emphasized reading people during jury selection, as their perspectives influence the outcome.

College

I studied pre-law and Psychology in college, but chose a Journalism degree in Public Relations, Web Design, and Environmental Science to create a sustainability marketing agency. Life requires flexibility and adaptability; things don't always go as planned. After attending a World Usability Day event, I was intrigued by UX an all too often-overlooked scientific method based field.

Occupation

I provided objective, hypothesis-driven UX strategy and research, submitted concisely as defendable evidence. Commitment to avoid leading the "witness," apply the scientific method, and identify patterns aids in crafting and testing UX strategies effectively. Effectively communicating findings with team members is essential for making informed, data-backed design and development decisions.

Now

While consulting for various clients, they implemented UX roadmaps and recommendations that yielded positive ROI, often with clients unfamiliar with UX beforehand. I provide UX evangelism and human-centered strategies for companies to address complex problems. Immersing teams in user needs and motivations leads to intuitive, sustainable, and profitable solutions.
